Fruita is a small town with a surprisingly good food scene, and most of it is walkable along Mulberry Street downtown. Here's where we actually send friends and guests—the post-ride institutions, the coffee we start our mornings with, and the breweries and wineries worth the short drive.
1. The downtown institutions
Hot Tomato (124 N. Mulberry St.) is the heart of Fruita's food scene—the classic post-ride spot for excellent pizza, cold beer, and a room full of dusty, happy cyclists. Expect a wait on busy weekends; it's worth it. A few doors down, Base Camp Provisions (155 N. Mulberry St.) pairs a laid-back bar and brewery with a solid food menu and one of the best patios in town.

Both Blair Bungalow and Maple Cabin are a short hop from downtown—walk to dinner, skip the drive.
2. Best Mexican in town
For seriously authentic Mexican, Fiesta Guadalajara is our go-to—generous plates and genuinely warm service. El Tapatio is the other local favorite, with reliably good food and margaritas that hit after a long day on the trails.
3. Coffee & morning fuel
Bestslope Coffee is the local hub—great coffee, outdoor seating, and often a food truck parked out front. If you're heading out early, Aspen Street Coffee and the Morning Mission drive-thru will get you caffeinated on the way to the trailhead.
4. Craft beer & Palisade wine country
Right in town, Copper Club Brewing (across from Hot Tomato) pours a rotating lineup of house craft beers in a friendly taproom—and you're welcome to bring in outside food. When you want to make an afternoon of it, wine country is only about 25 minutes east in Palisade.

A couple of local tips
This is a small town, so hours can be shorter than you'd expect—especially early in the week—so it's worth a quick check before you head out. Cooking in? City Market covers the basics and Skip's Farm to Market is great for local produce. Both of our kitchens are fully stocked for the nights you'd rather grill at home by the fire pit.
